There's no shortage of royalty in evidence at the coronation of King Charles III today. Among that number are Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway who are on hand to attend the official service at Westminster Abbey this morning.

To mark the historic occasion, the princess wore a chicly understated blush dress by Dundas with tea-length sleeves and a feminine bow detail at the shoulder. The skirt was worked with delicate embroidery in a traditional Norwegian flower motif paired with classic English Tudor roses. In keeping with the monochrome scheme, she paired the look with a pillbox hat with a pale pink veil, Paula Rowan leather opera gloves, a matching clutch purse, and simple nude pumps.

Last night, the royals attended a special reception at Buckingham Palace to welcome foreign dignitaries visiting for the coronation. For that event, Mette-Marit opted for a graphic red and white look with a geometrically folded Alexander McQueen jacket. She paired the look with neutral pumps and a cream-colored tiger print clutch.

Haakon himself is the first in line to the throne of Norway after his father, King Harald V, meaning that Haakon and Mette-Marit will likely one day find themselves holding a coronation of their own.

Though they're not often together due to their respective official duties, the royal families of Norway and England actually share close familial ties—in fact, King Harald V, was second cousins with the late Queen Elizabeth, King Charles's mother (both being the great-grandchildren of Queen Victoria's eldest son, King Edward VII.)
